Bachelorette Party Games (That The Girls Will Actually Want to Play)

Planning a bachelorette party that doesn’t feel cliché or full of forced fun, is a bit of an art form. And games are an area where people tend to get a little tripped up. TBH, when comes to games, we’re in the camp that no games are better than boring games (hot take? idk)! That said, we all love games, and Ellie REALLY, REALLY loves games, so we knew we had to plan some fun ones for her bach.

IMO, bachelorette party games have to do at least one of the following:

• Allow you to learn more about the bride and groom’s relationship

• Make you laugh (and/or cry)

• Be engaging and interactive

That said, here are the four games we played that 100% delivered.

Ask the Groom (sentimental and funny)

This game is perfect for setting the tone for the weekend and reminding everyone why you’ve come together. It’s a classic, but an absolute must, in our opinion.

How to Play:

Before the trip, ask the groom to answer a list of questions on video. Think:

“What’s her most annoying habit?” “Who said I love you first?” “If she was arrested, what would be the reason?” “How would you describe her in just three words?”

During the party, project a slide deck where the first slide displays the question he was asked. Then, have the bride guess how he answered the question. The next slide should have his response video. Annndd repeat.

Watching Ellie react to Logan’s answers was priceless.

Why we love it? It’s so personal! Hearing directly from the groom is such a special way to learn more about how he loves on your bff bride. And having a mix of heartfelt and hilarious questions & answers is such a great way to bring everyone closer. This game checks all 3 boxes so even though it’s been done before, it’s a must.

Is it the Groom? (slightly unhinged)

This one… might have been the funniest game of the entire weekend.

How to Play:

Once again, create a slide deck. On the first slide, you’ll show a super zoomed-in photo of the bride and a man. We’re talking aggressively zoomed in. If could be an arm, hand, leg, shoulder, literally anything. Annnd everyone votes: Is it the groom… or not?

Then the reveal slide hits.

And either it’s the groom, or, instead of the groom it’s:

• an ex

• a random guy from a college party

• some guy from spring break

• someone’s dad

You get the idea. And obviously, the more chaotic the reveal, the better. Repeat.

Why we love it? The reactions from both the bride and friends who remember the photo are truly unmatched. Ellie was crying laughing. This was HILARIOUS.

Pro tip: Crowdsource photos from friends. Having funny photos is crucial to the success of this game, but don’t tell too many people what you’re doing. The surprise factor is everything!!

The Bachelorette (interactive and hilarious)

We basically turned Ellie into the star of her own season of The Bachelorette. There were custom contestants, dramatic storylines, eliminations… the whole thing. We’ll break down exactly how to do this in a separate post, but trust us, it’s worth the set-up time. We returned back to review the game and its contestants more than once, haha. Stay tuned for that full how-to guide.

Why we love it? It’s interactive, creative, and feels like an experience, not just a game.

White Lotus Inspired Murder Mystery (immersive and unforgettable)

This was the event of the weekend.

We created a fully custom White Lotus–inspired murder mystery, where everyone had a character, secrets and yes… someone ended up “dead”

We had a loose script, assigned roles ahead of time, and sprinkled clues throughout the game.

Why we love it? It turns the entire day/night into an experience. It’s dramatic, unique, and hilarious when people commit to the bit! This is another one that needs a full post to explain, so tuned for that full how-to guide.

We’d love to hear what other games you’d recommend! Let us knows know if you play any of these at your next bach. 🙂
