Boots, Boots, Boots

In Minnesota, it’s always boot season. Thus, our belief that you can never have too many pairs of boots. Without further ado, here are our top 10 must-haves for this season:

  1. Over the knee boots. They’re everywhere, we know, but how amazing are they with sheer tights and a mini skirt? So classic.

  2. Embellished black boots. Studs, buckles, embroidery, we’re loving it all.
  3. The 90s are back in a big way and we definitely approve. We’re feeling pretty nostalgic over these chunky Dr. Martens. We weren’t sure we could commit to the classic yellow stitching, so this was our compromise.

  4. We will wear anything made of velvet. Boots are no exception.
  5. Hiking boot turned winter staple – we love the J.Crew boots from this season and were lucky enough to snag a pair before they sold out. If you weren’t so lucky, these Rag & Bone boots are also amazing. Jeffrey Campbell also nailed the trend, per usual.
  6. Snakeskin. These novelty boots bring so much to an outfit. We love them with black skinnies and an oversized sweater. Leopard boots are a close 2nd.

  7. Anything Sol Sana. They have the best silhouettes – just look at these.
  8. If you live in Minnesota, you probably already have a few pairs of Sorels. Since winter lasts for most of the year, we’ve convinced ourselves that Sorel wedges are somewhat practical. Maybe not. Either way, we dig ’em.

  9. Timberlands. We love how the off-white sole brings some femininity to these Timberland work boots. These boots + wool socks = the perfect “up north” look.
  10. Finally, you can’t go wrong with a luxe red/brown leather boot. We vote Frye & Madewell.
